2022 election: Get your PVC, Gov Oyetola tasks Osun indigenes as they endorse him for 2nd term

Governor of Osun State Adegboyega Oyetola has tasked the Osun state indigenes on getting their permanent voters cards in preparation for the 2022 polls in the state. The Governor who was represented by Alhaji Ibrahim Salihu stated this in Abuja at the Osun Indigene Association of Nigeria (OSIAN)   declaration of their endorsement for his second term in office on Saturday. 

The Governor added that their voters card is a key element in deciding his return as governor, to continue running the affairs of the state. Earlier, OSIAN president Engr Oladimeji Olaniyi said, “Today’s event is more than declaring support and adoption of Governor Oyetola, but celebration of a political icon of Osun.

He described the governor as “a man of integrity, a leader per excellence, an achiever, a listening leader, a man of peace, a just leader and a God fearing leader.”He added that, to show that the indigenes are committed to their words, “modalities are been put in place to facilitate movement to the state during the election in 2022.

”He tasked the indigenes to remain patriotic to Nigeria.One of the indigenes at the event, deputy director operations FCT VIO Dele A.A Aro said the endorsement became necessary because the governor “Did not abandon any project left over when he took over the liabilities of the country.

He made sure he continued from where they stopped; and that’s what we are trying to encourage so that there won’t be any abandoned projects in the course of his stay, so that the state can move forward.

”He further enjoin the indigenes to be united, recognise one another wherever they may be, be ambassadors of the state and Nigeria, while contributing their quotas to the development of the country.
