Abuja – The lawmaker representing Nkanu East/West Federal Constituency of Enugu State, Honourable Nnolim Nnaji has described the abolition of sit-at-home order in Enugu State by Governor Peter Mba as courageous and commendable.
He noted that, “the sit-at-home imposition by the separatist agitators has unleashed untold economic hardiships on our people especially the ordinary petty traders who depend on their daily income for their livelihood”
Honourable Nnaji also commended the governor’s recent meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during which he called for unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
He appealed to youths of Enugu State to exercise restraints in their clamour for inclusiveness adding that he was convinced that the present administration of President Tinubu working with Governor Mba would address the perceived injustices, lack of Federal presence and infrastructure deficit in the southeast region.
Honourable Nnaji who was the Chairman of House of Representatives Standing Committee on Aviation in the 9th Assembly noted that the governor has started well and urged the people of Enugu State to give him all the needed supports to move the state forwarded.
He stressed that it was equally important for all the political actors in Enugu to put aside partisan interests and join hands with the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) led government in the state to bring dividends of democracy to the people.
He further added that he was happy that the governor was not relenting on his campaign promise of addressing the perennial water problems in Enugu adding that very soon it would be over.
