‘Peter Obi Is Not Happy’ – Kwankwaso Camp Breaks Silence on OK Movement Dispute

The spokesman of the former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Ladipo Johnson, has confirmed that the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) 2027 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is not happy over a growing leadership tussle within the campaign bloc, OK Movement.

Johnson made the claim during an interview with Arise Television, reports say.

Johnson acknowledged that tensions had developed within the Movement, but he described the situation as a temporary setback rather than a serious threat to its political goals.

He said the division within the movement has become a distraction especially at a time when supporters are expected to focus on strengthening its structure across the country.

Johnson also said the dispute was a fallout from differences between some members and the leadership of the Movement, warning against actions that could create divisions among supporters of the proposed Obi-Kwankwaso alliance.

Peter Obi has been briefed on the situation and is unhappy with the ongoing disagreement, Kwankwaso added.

“Yes we have,” he said, “may I call it a distraction at the moment. It is not the kind of thing that would make you take unilateral actions that could potentially scuttle or bring bad blood in the support base of the person you want to be president of the country, in my humble opinion.

“I saw the presidential candidate together with the DG last night. He’s not crazy about the whole thing.”
