Eno Celebrates Hilda Baci’s Resilience and Record-Breaking Achievement
Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has recognised the achievements of Nigerian chef and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci, describing her journey as an example of how determination can help people overcome barriers.
Eno made the remarks when he hosted Baci, an indigene of Akwa Ibom, at the Government House in Uyo.
The governor commended the chef for using her culinary accomplishments to bring attention to Akwa Ibom and inspire possibilities beyond the state.
He encouraged her to maintain her connection with the state and continue to serve as a positive ambassador through her activities.
During the visit, Baci also spoke about developments in Akwa Ibom, praising the state’s infrastructure, peaceful environment and investment opportunities.
The chef described Akwa Ibom as “amazingly beautiful” while speaking with members of the Government House Press Corps after her meeting with the governor.
She commended Governor Eno’s vision and leadership, highlighting the Victor Attah International Airport as one of the facilities that impressed her.
According to Baci, the airport’s facilities are first-rate and demonstrate the development taking place in the state.

She also praised Akwa Ibom residents for their hospitality and industrious nature.
The Guinness World Record holder expressed her willingness to partner with stakeholders to support initiatives that contribute to the state’s development.
She encouraged visitors, tourists and investors to explore Akwa Ibom’s environmental attractions, recreational facilities, hospitality businesses and other areas of investment.
Baci said greater attention to these opportunities could help businesses maximise their potential while contributing to the state’s economic development.
During the engagement, she presented her Guinness World Record certificate to Governor Eno.
Baci also appealed to the people of Akwa Ibom to maintain love, unity and peace, emphasising the role of stability in supporting long-term development.
The meeting was attended by senior government officials, including House of Assembly Speaker Udeme Otong, Secretary to the State Government Enobong Uwah, Information Commissioner Aniekan Umanah and Culture and Tourism Commissioner Anieti Udofia.
