Nigerian entrepreneur and digital content creator Chinaza Joy Osigwe, popularly called Coach Nazzy, has spoken about the role social media has played in building her professional brand, securing business opportunities and providing paid work for other people.

Osigwe, who has developed a following on TikTok and Telegram, said her online activities have connected her with businesses, fellow creators and brands seeking promotional partnerships.

She explained that these relationships have resulted in paid promotions, advertising campaigns and other collaborations, demonstrating how content creation can become a source of income when approached with the right business mindset.

“My digital presence has created opportunities through paid promotions, brand collaborations and campaigns across TikTok and Telegram. It has also connected me with businesses and other creators,” she said.

The entrepreneur maintained that social media success involves more than gaining followers or attracting attention. According to her, creators must understand the commercial side of their work and learn how to manage the opportunities that come with building an audience.

She explained that professional creators need to negotiate their charges, establish clear expectations with clients and understand the specific responsibilities attached to each collaboration.

“Building an audience opened doors, but managing those relationships takes work,” she noted.

Osigwe also revealed that the growth of her digital activities has enabled her to employ people who assist with posting content and managing the daily operations of her platforms.

She said the decision to bring others into her business came after identifying tasks that required consistent attention and responsibilities that sometimes slowed down her work when handled alone.

By recognising where additional support was necessary, she was able to delegate some activities and improve the organisation of her digital operations.

When recruiting team members, Osigwe said she values people who can communicate effectively, follow instructions, meet deadlines and demonstrate a willingness to learn.

She believes these qualities are important for maintaining an organised working environment and ensuring that responsibilities are handled properly.

“Someone should be able to follow instructions, meet agreed deadlines and let me know early if there is a problem,” she said.

For Osigwe, employing others is not simply a business decision. She described creating paid opportunities as personally meaningful because she understands the importance of having access to opportunities that can improve people’s circumstances.

She therefore called on content creators who have established themselves online to help younger talents and small businesses benefit from the digital economy.

According to her, creators can support others by collaborating with emerging talents, recommending qualified people for assignments, introducing small businesses to potential customers and sharing knowledge about content production.

She also stressed that successful collaborations should recognise the efforts of everyone involved.

Osigwe noted that giving another creator visibility and acknowledging their contribution could help them secure future work, provided the relationship is fair and mutually beneficial.

Discussing the growth of her TikTok audience, the entrepreneur identified her personality and the connection she maintains with followers as important factors behind her online presence.

She explained that her willingness to express herself openly has helped establish a recognisable identity, while interacting with followers allows her to understand the subjects and content they find interesting.

“I believe my personality and the connection I have built with my audience have contributed a lot. I express myself openly, and people recognise my voice and style,” she said.

She added that consistency remains important, but creators must also give their audiences content they can relate to rather than simply publishing posts to remain visible.

Osigwe described the development of Coach Nazzy as a transition from personal expression and audience-building to a professional brand with broader responsibilities.

“Today, Coach Nazzy represents confidence, ambition and a woman working to build a better life through digital opportunities,” she stated.

She explained that the brand’s growth has made her more conscious of her reputation, the partnerships she enters and the long-term impact of her professional choices.

As competition increases across digital platforms, Osigwe said she pays attention to audience feedback and industry developments while working to improve her content without abandoning her distinctive identity.

She acknowledged that following trends can help creators remain relevant but cautioned against losing the qualities that initially attracted people to their platforms.

“Trends can be useful, but I want people to recognise my personality in what I create. Staying relevant means being willing to learn while understanding what people already value about your work,” she said.

The entrepreneur also challenged the assumption that online popularity alone determines success. She said she considers meaningful engagement, client satisfaction, repeat business and the ability to support her family when evaluating her progress.

For her, the real value of a digital brand lies partly in its ability to generate sustainable income and create tangible benefits beyond social media statistics.

She advised young Nigerians interested in content creation to begin with what they have instead of postponing their plans until they can purchase expensive equipment.

She recommended focusing on sound quality, lighting, useful or entertaining content and a realistic publishing routine. She also encouraged beginners to study audience responses and continuously improve their skills.

Osigwe further urged creators to establish their fees, document agreements with clients and keep track of their expenses as their activities begin generating revenue.

She warned that clients expect reliability and professionalism, making it important for creators to fulfil their commitments rather than depend solely on the size of their following.

Looking to the future, Osigwe said she wants the Coach Nazzy brand to become increasingly recognised for professional conduct, valuable partnerships and its contribution to creating opportunities for others.

She also hopes to share lessons from her journey with young women seeking to develop their skills, build digital businesses and achieve financial independence.

Her message highlights the importance of combining creativity with consistency, business knowledge and a willingness to create opportunities for other people in the expanding digital economy.
