StarTimes’ original dating reality show, Hello Mr Right, is set to return for its fourth season with a revamped format, artificial intelligence-powered matchmaking and a major role reversal.

The new season will introduce viewers to a different approach to finding love, with women taking control of the selection process in a special segment tagged “The Switch.”

The programme is hosted by television personality and content creator Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as KieKie. She returns for her third consecutive season.

Nelson Enwerem, better known as Prince Nelson, will also return as co-host for the second consecutive season.

Season 4 will begin with an audition episode scheduled to premiere on September 26 on ST Nollywood Plus. The audition episode will be rebroadcast on October 1, ahead of the main season premiere on October 3.

According to Series Director Jide Ali, the new season will feature “The Switch”, which will reverse the traditional format of the programme by placing one woman at the centre of the competition.

“We also have an AI segment that matches contestants based on their profiles. AI uses its own assessment to match the lady it considers most compatible with the profile of Mr Right,” Ali said.

The season will feature 12 men competing for the attention of one “Miss Right”, giving the female contestant a more active role in determining compatibility.

Series Producer Rotimi Babalogbon said the new season would also broaden the representation of contestants by bringing together people from different professions, age groups, backgrounds and body types.

KieKie said the introduction of technology and new formats would not change the importance of honesty in relationships.

“I just think it’s about being genuine and being real, being authentic, because relationships are one very quick way to expose your flaws,” she said.

StarTimes Marketing Director Oke Umurhohwo said the company’s continued investment in the show reflects its commitment to producing original entertainment that connects with young Nigerians.

The fourth season will also be promoted through television, social media, influencer partnerships, contestant-generated content and audience participation.

Hello Mr Right Season 4 will air exclusively on ST Nollywood Plus on StarTimes.
