Toyin Abraham Opens Up About Pregnancy Loss and Challenging Hospital Ordeal
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has revealed that she suffered another pregnancy loss after carrying the pregnancy for four months.
Abraham made the disclosure while speaking at the Bestie Jesu Concert 2026 in Lagos, where she opened up about the emotional experience and the support she received from Pastor Bolaji Idowu during the difficult period.
According to the actress, she was still working on a film when she lost the pregnancy. She said the experience left her emotionally devastated but that she had to deal with the situation while continuing her professional commitments.
“I was four month pregnant, but I lost it. But guess what, I was filming, so I was down,” Abraham said.
The actress explained that she initially struggled with the decision to inform her parents, particularly her mother, because she was worried about how she would react to the news.
“I didn’t want to call my parents; you know how it is that you don’t want to… my parents, my mom is old, and I didn’t want to call my mom,” she said.
Abraham said she eventually informed her husband, actor Kola Ajeyemi, but he was away at the time. She then turned to Pastor Bolaji for assistance.
“I just told my husband, but that day he was far away, and guess who I called?” she recalled.

The actress said Pastor Bolaji immediately began praying for her and asked where she was.
“I just called Pastor Bolaji. He just started praying for me, and he said, ‘Where are you?’ I said, ‘I’m on my way to the hospital,’” she recounted.
According to Abraham, the pastor also asked about the medical procedure she was expected to undergo.
“He said, ‘What’s going to happen?’ I said, ‘They want to do an evacuation,’” she said.
Abraham revealed that Pastor Bolaji subsequently sent her a substantial amount of money to assist with the medical expenses.
“And Pastor Bolaji sent me millions,” the actress said, expressing appreciation for the support.
“Thank you so much, Pastor Bolaji. God bless you,” she added.
The latest revelation is not the first time Abraham has publicly discussed pregnancy loss. In 2022, she told Channels Television that she had also lost a pregnancy and became deeply emotional because of her desire to have more children.
Abraham, who has a son and a stepdaughter with Kola Ajeyemi, has previously spoken about her wish to expand her family.
Her latest disclosure highlights another difficult personal experience she faced while balancing motherhood, family responsibilities and her career in the Nigerian film industry.
