Nollywood star Yetunde Barnabas has challenged Ajefunke Kofoshi’s account of their ongoing dispute, insisting that the actress was arrested by the police and not simply invited for questioning.

The disagreement resurfaced after Kofoshi shared a video of the two actresses together, claiming that she had been invited by the police.

Barnabas responded by disputing that version of events and accusing Kofoshi of misleading the public about what happened.

Earlier, Barnabas had said the dispute had entered the legal process. She alleged that Kofoshi was asked to delete posts she considered defamatory against her and her professional work and to issue a public apology in a video.

Barnabas later announced that the pair had “finally faced off legally” and said she was prepared to move on for the sake of peace, subject to certain conditions.

However, Kofoshi’s latest account prompted Barnabas to explain her own version of the encounter.

“You were picked up and arrested; you begged and admitted your wrongdoing and begged me, so I let it go for the sake of peace because there’s nothing in this life,” she stated.

Barnabas also claimed that Kofoshi had requested a video about the dispute and that she agreed after cautioning her against insulting people.

She concluded her response with a direct appeal: “Do not mislead the public.”

The disagreement has continued to attract attention online, with the actresses presenting different accounts of the police encounter and the steps taken to resolve their dispute.
