Toyin Abraham Faces Backlash Over Leaked Audio Involving Funke Akindele and Iyabo Ojo
Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has attracted social media criticism after an alleged audio conversation involving her and a TikTok fan, Bisgold, surfaced online.
The 12-minute recording, reportedly released by blogger Mama Esabod, has drawn attention because of comments allegedly made about actresses Funke Akindele and Iyabo Ojo.
In the conversation, which was conducted largely in Yoruba and Pidgin English, Bisgold was reportedly heard insulting Akindele several times. Abraham appeared to laugh during the exchange rather than challenge the remarks, according to accounts of the recording.

Iyabo Ojo also became a subject of discussion. Bisgold allegedly claimed that Ojo had not moved on from a previous incident, and Abraham reportedly laughed and agreed.
The audio has prompted criticism from social media users who questioned whether Abraham maintained appropriate boundaries with fans and whether her reactions were respectful towards fellow entertainers.
WhoKnowsyezt, one of the commenters, criticised the actress for appearing too comfortable with a fan during the conversation.
Fifi Efretuei also questioned Abraham’s approach to dealing with supporters, arguing that the actress should establish clearer limits in her interactions.
Another user, Prince Ademola Salami, criticised Abraham and said he preferred Akindele.
The recording reportedly included discussions about actors Itele and Kemity. Abraham allegedly claimed that some people who professed loyalty to her operated fake accounts to attack others.
She also referred to Kemity as a daughter figure.
The controversy has generated debate about celebrity friendships, fan interactions and the consequences of private conversations becoming public.
However, the recording’s context and authenticity should be considered before drawing firm conclusions about the actress’s intentions.
