‘I Don’t Have the Capacity for That’ – Timini Egbuson Speaks on Dating Multiple Women
Nigerian actor Timini Egbuson has pushed back against the perception that he is a womaniser, insisting that his busy schedule in Nollywood leaves him with little time for multiple romantic relationships.
Timini shared his perspective during an appearance on the Culture League podcast, where he spoke about the difference between his public image and his actual experiences outside the entertainment industry.
The actor said people often assume that he is constantly dating different women. However, he explained that the demands of his profession have significantly reduced the time he can devote to an active social and romantic life.
According to him, the past two to three years have been particularly demanding, with acting commitments taking up much of his time.
“A lot of people assume that I’m a womaniser, right? But I’m not. In the past two, three years, Nollywood has taken over my life in a way that there’s no room,” he said.
Timini explained that working on film sets throughout the day and returning home around 11 p.m. leaves him physically exhausted. Under those circumstances, he said, maintaining several relationships would be difficult.

He also wondered how some of his male friends manage to balance their schedules while reportedly maintaining relationships with four or five women.
The actor stressed that he does not have the capacity to live the lifestyle people associate with him, adding that he is not as socially active as many assume.
Despite the demands of his career, Timini said he enjoys the work and the opportunities it brings. However, he acknowledged that his professional commitments sometimes leave him spending nights alone.
He described occasionally taking a shot of Martell to relax before going to sleep, expressing a wish that people understood the reality behind his public persona.
Timini also reflected on how ageing affects dating opportunities. He noted that although someone may still look young, getting older can change their social environment and reduce the number of potential partners they encounter.
His remarks challenge assumptions about his romantic lifestyle and highlight the impact of professional commitments on his personal relationships.
The actor’s comments suggest that his current priorities are heavily shaped by work, leaving less room for the dating lifestyle some people associate with his celebrity status.
