‘I Feel Safer in That Lane’ – Ramsey Nouah on Avoiding the Spotlight

Nollywood veteran Ramsey Nouah has explained why he deliberately maintains a low profile despite being one of the industry’s most recognisable actors.

Nouah discussed his approach to fame during an interview with TVC Entertainment, revealing that he prefers to remain behind the scenes rather than place his personal life in the public eye.

The actor said staying in the background makes him feel more comfortable and helps him work better. He explained that his priority is his acting and the projects he is involved in, rather than drawing attention to himself.

Nouah stressed that he has no problem promoting a movie when necessary. However, he said there is a difference between promoting his work and making himself the subject of public attention.

According to him, when he appears publicly to promote a project, his focus is on discussing the movie and the character he plays.

He made the clarification while speaking about his role as Tornado, noting that his appearance was intended to promote the work rather than himself.

The veteran actor’s position reflects his preference for separating his professional responsibilities from his personal life.

Despite maintaining a career spanning more than two decades, Nouah has largely kept his private affairs away from the intense public attention that often accompanies celebrity status.

He said he feels safer and more productive operating away from the spotlight, allowing his performances and projects to remain the main focus of public attention.
