The moment reportedly occurred as he sang his popular track True Love and paused to engage the audience in a playful conversation about finding love.

Looking around the venue, 2Baba asked where his true love was, wondering whether she was standing at the back or somewhere in front of him.

He encouraged the women present to respond, joking that some ladies were often too shy to shout when he made such remarks.

The singer then shifted the conversation to his personal life, announcing that he no longer had a habit of getting women pregnant.

“For the purpose of this show, I will pretend like I’ve never seen anything before. Where’s my true love? Is she back there? Is she right here? Is she somewhere here?” he asked.

He subsequently declared that he was no longer involved in getting women pregnant, adding that people who knew him would confirm his statement.

The comment quickly became a talking point because of the singer’s public relationship history.

2Baba was formerly married to actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia, and the former couple share two children. Their separation was announced publicly in January 2025.

The singer has remained a prominent figure in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, with his music and personal life frequently attracting public interest.

His latest remark was delivered during a performance and appeared to form part of his playful exchange with the audience.

While the declaration has attracted attention online, the available report provides no further details about what prompted the statement beyond the onstage conversation.
