Kay Wonder Announces Postponement of Praise Concert After Toluwanisings’ Death
The seventh edition of the Invasion Praise Concert has been postponed following the death of gospel singer Toluwanisings, according to an announcement by the event’s convener, Kay Wonder.
The annual gospel gathering was scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Eko Hotel & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, but the organisers said they had decided to suspend the event in honour of the late minister.
Toluwanisings, born Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, was listed among the performers expected at the concert. Other artistes billed to minister included Titilayo Euba, Minister Dieko, Bola Are, BBO, Lilian Nneji, Psalmos, Shola Sax and Tobi Akuraku.
Kay Wonder announced the development in a statement shared on Instagram, expressing sadness over the loss and acknowledging the grief experienced by members of the gospel music community.
According to the statement, the organisers reached the decision after prayerful consideration, noting that proceeding with the concert at the scheduled time would not reflect the emotions surrounding the singer’s death.

The announcement also conveyed condolences to the deceased’s family, friends and colleagues.
“We kindly ask that you keep Toluwanisings’ family, loved ones, and the entire Gospel community in your prayers during this difficult time,” Kay Wonder stated.
The organisers further apologised for the inconvenience caused by the postponement and assured supporters that a new date would be communicated soon.
Toluwanisings reportedly passed away on Wednesday, October 14, after he slumped in Ibadan.
His death has left colleagues and members of the gospel music community mourning, while the postponement of the concert underscores the significance of his loss to the event’s organisers and fellow performers.
Fans and attendees are expected to await further information regarding the rescheduled date.
