Omotola Ekeinde Honoured With Social Impact and Lifetime Recognition

Nollywood star Omotola Ekeinde has been recognised for her social impact and philanthropic efforts with two separate honours.

The actress shared the development with her followers on Sunday, announcing that Israel Tribune in America had honoured her with a Social Impact Award and a Lifetime Social Impact Recognition.

Omotola thanked the organisers for acknowledging her efforts and expressed gratitude to God for giving her the ability to contribute to society.

The latest recognition follows her recent decision to support charitable causes through proceeds from her movie projects.

The actress recently disclosed that she planned to donate 10 per cent of the proceeds from one of her projects to an NGO.

She also reflected on her work surrounding Mother’s Love: The Movie, explaining that she decided to donate the producers’ earnings to support the education of children from underserved communities.

She specifically mentioned Makoko, a Lagos community that featured in the movie.

Omotola said she did not expect the decision to generate such a strong response, adding that the gesture had continued to inspire her.

She said she was grateful for the opportunity to pursue her passion while using her platform and resources to support people in need.

The actress has continued to highlight education and community support as important areas of her philanthropic activities.
