Tinubu Congratulates Adeleke on Osun Governorship Election Victory
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory in the recently concluded Osun governorship election, describing it as a “timely assurance that democracy will thrive in the country under the administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This was disclosed by the President in a statement signed and issued by his Spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, on Sunday.
He also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and security agencies for the peaceful and transparent conduct of the election that produced a clear winner.
I called Governor Ademola Adeleke earlier today to congratulate him on his election victory in Osun State. “His victory further reaffirms the confidence of the people of Osun State in him.
The President also challenged Governor Adeleke to unite the people of Osun State and mobilize them for growth, stability and social and economic advancement regardless of the political choices they made at the election.

“I wish him the very best of luck as he gets ready to lead the state for the next four years. Governor Adeleke now that he has won must bring the people of Osun State together and rally them for growth, stability and social and economic progress regardless of their political choice at the election.
I salute the courage and discipline of the other contestants in the elections. Their participation has deepened and enriched the democratic culture of our country. “The outcome of the election is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country and it is the will of the people,” President Tinubu said.
The candidate of the Accord Party, Governor Ademola Adeleke, has been declared winner of the Osun State Governorship election held on August 15 after polling 511,067 votes and winning 19 out of the 30 local government areas of the state to emerge victorious over his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who won 11 local government areas respectively.
