Seun Oloketuyi, Chief Executive Officer of Best of Nollywood (BON), has recounted the reported final moments of gospel singer Toluwanisings, saying the musician slumped and was taken to three hospitals before he was pronounced dead.

Toluwanisings, whose real name was Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, reportedly collapsed on a staircase before people began rushing him to medical facilities for assistance.

Oloketuyi shared the account in an emotional Instagram post, claiming that the first two hospitals refused to accept the singer, while the third facility reportedly confirmed his death.

“The first hospital rejected you, the second hospital rejected you, and by the time you got to the third hospital, they said you were gone,” Oloketuyi wrote.

He expressed shock over the loss, describing the death as difficult to believe and mourning the gospel musician whose songs had touched listeners.

The development followed an earlier announcement by Pelumi Olajengbesi, convener of the Coalition of Public Interest Lawyers and Advocates (COPA), who disclosed the singer’s death on Instagram on Wednesday.

Toluwanisings’ family later confirmed the news in a statement posted on the singer’s Instagram account after uncertainty surrounded reports of his passing.

In his tribute, Oloketuyi questioned the cruelty of death and celebrated the singer’s musical legacy.

He wrote that although Toluwanisings’ voice had become silent on earth, the songs he left behind would continue to speak to people.

The circumstances surrounding the reported collapse, including further details about the singer’s medical treatment, had not been made public at the time of reporting.
