Veteran Juju, Highlife Star Saint Janet Passes Away
Veteran singer Iyun Janet Oluwatoyosi Ajilore, better known as Saint Janet, has died and the death has plunged Nigeria’s Juju and Highlife music industry into mourning following her passing after a brief illness.
The famous entertainer is believed to have died on Saturday, ending a music career that had made her one of the country’s most exciting live performers.
Publisher and socialite **Otunba Femi Davies** confirmed the news of her death on Sunday, announcing the development in a post on his Facebook page.
St Janet (Iyun Janet Ajilore), a popular Nigerian Juju and Highlife musician known for her vibrant live performances, energetic stage presence and socially unfiltered party tracks, is dead. “She died Saturday after a short illness,” Davies wrote.
