Zombies’ Actress Carla Jeffery Passes Away at 33

Disney Zombies film series actress Carla Jeffery has died aged 33. Jeffery played Bree in the “franchise” and was familiar to fans from the movies and the animated spin-off.

The news was confirmed by her manager, Carla Alexander, founder of Alexanders Talent Management in Los Angeles.

Carla was more than a client, she was family. “Our hearts go out to Carla’s family and loved ones during this heartbreaking time,” Alexander said in a statement.

“More information about Jeffery’s death will be released in the coming days,” Alexander told KTLA. The cause of death has not been released.

Jeffery was born in Houston, Texas and started acting at the age of 12. One of her earliest roles was alongside Mo’Nique in the 2006 comedy ‘Phat Girlz’.

She has since appeared in a number of Disney Channel shows including ‘Good Luck Charlie’, ‘Shake It Up’, and ‘Best Friends Whenever’.

Jeffery’s character Bree was Addison’s loyal and close friend in ‘Zombies’. Addison was portrayed by Meg Donnelly and was a familiar face for viewers throughout the series.

Jeffery has been seen in other film and TV projects, including Disney’s ‘Prom Pact’ alongside ‘Zombies’.

“She loved what she did,” Alexander recalled of the actress. “She was a good woman.”

Since the news broke, colleagues and fans have taken to social media to remember Jeffery for her work and her role in Disney’s young adult programs.
