Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has spoken about the impact of fatherhood on his life, revealing that becoming a parent has changed the way he views responsibility, life and the risks associated with his acting career.

The actor made this known during an interview with media personality VJ Adams, who asked him about the biggest changes in his perspective since becoming a father.

Remi said having responsibility for another human being had given him a different outlook on several areas of his life.

“Ah, it’s different when you become responsible for a human being. My perspective changed in different aspects,” he said.

The actor also revealed that fatherhood has influenced his approach to performing stunts in movies.

Remi explained that he has always been willing to perform his own stunts and take on physically demanding roles as part of his commitment to his craft. However, becoming a father has made him reconsider some of the risks involved.

“As an actor, right, I’ve always wanted to be – I do my stunts,” he said.

Reflecting on his new responsibilities, Remi pointed out that he now has another important reason to consider the consequences of taking unnecessary risks.

“I have a daughter now, man,” he added.

His comments highlight how parenthood can influence personal and professional decisions, particularly for individuals working in industries where certain activities can involve physical risks.

While Remi has not indicated that he intends to abandon stunt work or challenging roles, his remarks suggest that he is now more deliberate about the risks he takes on set.

The actor’s experience also reflects a broader change that can come with becoming a parent, as personal responsibilities begin to influence decisions that were previously based largely on individual ambition.

For Remi, fatherhood appears to have added another layer of consideration to his career, without diminishing his passion for acting. Instead, he now has to balance his desire to push himself professionally with his responsibilities as a father.

The actor’s revelation comes as he continues to establish himself as one of the recognisable faces in Nollywood, taking on different roles while navigating the demands of his personal life and growing career.
