Nollywood Actress Chita Agwu Goes Separate Ways With Husband After 11 Years

Nollywood actress Chita Agwu has confirmed the dissolution of her marriage, revealing that a court has formally brought the union to an end.

Agwu announced the development through a statement published on her Instagram page, describing the moment as a personal turning point and an opportunity to begin again.

The actress said she had decided to embrace the next phase of her life with peace, grace and dignity, while asking members of the public to respect her privacy and that of her former partner.

She explained that marriage is a personal experience that does not always produce the outcome couples initially anticipate. According to her, people whose marriages have ended should not be subjected to public judgment or embarrassment.

“After much thought and a deeply personal journey, I wish to officially inform the public that the court has legally dissolved my marriage,” she wrote.

The actress expressed gratitude to friends, colleagues and others who had offered her support throughout her journey.

She noted that her focus was now on healing, personal development and the opportunities ahead, rather than controversy or prolonged explanations about her private affairs.

“As I begin this new chapter, I choose peace over controversy, healing over bitterness, and growth over public explanations,” she stated.

Agwu further emphasised that the end of her marriage would not prevent her from pursuing happiness and building a fulfilling future.

“My marriage has ended, but my life continues,” she added, expressing confidence as she moves into the next phase of her life.
