Kcee: Being Mysterious Is No Longer Relevant in Today’s Entertainment Industry
Nigerian music star, Kingsley Okonkwo aka Kcee has said that the culture of keeping a mysterious public image will be almost irrelevant in the entertainment industry in five years’ time.
Kcee made the prediction during an interview with Selah Meditate where he spoke about the changing trends in the music business and the growing need for artists to stay visible.
The singer also pointed out that it was previously the case that entertainers created value and curiosity by being less accessible and deliberately avoiding the public. Still, he feels that the strategy does not have the same impact in today’s fast-changing industry.

“Artistes now must be visible and always interact with their fans to remain relevant,” Kcee said. Artificial intelligence and other technological advances have reshaped the entertainment landscape, he said, so constant visibility is more important than ever.
The singer also said he has been talking to some American professors who agree with his view that the mysterious approach will soon lose its appeal.
“Absence created a lot of value in ‘21 and ‘22, but there’s been a lot of change,” he said.
Therefore, as the industry keeps evolving, Kcee advised artistes to be more extroverted and maintain a stronger presence in front of their fans.
