Orezi Vows to Cut Ties With Friends Supporting Lindsay Clancy
Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Orezi has drawn a hard line against support for Lindsay Clancy, the 36-year-old American mother whose murder trial for killing her three young children ended in a mistrial last week.
In an Instagram Story posted on his account @oreziworldwide, the singer declared that any friend who backs Clancy “in any type of way, no matter what angle you decide to judge her situation from” should consider their friendship over.
“Your reasoning is impaired and I can’t deal with such,” Orezi said.
He added that if the matter ever led to an argument, “Na fight we go fight.”
“That woman strangled her 3 kids to death… one of them was 8 months old. Which kind empathy I wan get for that kind person. She should rot in jail!!!!” the singer further stated.
Orezi, whose real name is Esegine Allen, rose to prominence with the 2013 hit “Rihanna” and is known for songs including “Shoki” and “You Garrit.”
The high-profile trial of Clancy has sharply divided public opinion in the United States and around the globe, with intense debate over postpartum mental illness, medical treatment failures, and accountability for the children’s deaths.

The former labour and delivery nurse had admitted strangling her children in the basement of the family’s Duxbury, Massachusetts, home on January 24, 2023, while her then-husband Patrick was out picking up takeout.
The kids, Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months, were strangled with exercise bands.
She then cut her wrists and neck and jumped from a second-story window in an apparent suicide attempt, leaving her paralysed from the waist down.
Her defence argued she was not criminally responsible due to postpartum psychosis and the effects of multiple psychiatric medications but prosecutors maintained the killings were deliberate.
After a roughly five-week trial that began in late July 2026 and nearly 40 hours of jury deliberations, the panel deadlocked.
Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on Friday.
New York Times reported the jury was split 11-1 in favour of finding Clancy not criminally responsible.
She remains held at a state psychiatric hospital while a status hearing is scheduled for September 29, at which prosecutors will decide whether to retry the case.
